How much does an AI phone agent cost?

What does the build cost?

A build is a one-off fee, published on the services page, and paid online before work starts. An agent answering a single phone number sits at the bottom of that range. Several numbers, several languages, or phone and WhatsApp together sit higher, because each one is a separate script, a separate set of handoff rules, and a separate thing to test.

The number you see is the number you pay. There is no discovery call that ends in a custom quote, because the work is the same shape every time: we take your hours, your questions, your escalation rules, and your calendar, and we wire them to a voice. Quoting that individually would be theatre.

The one genuine exception is a custom automation on top of an agent. Those are quoted flat, one workflow at a time, agreed before anything starts.

What does the monthly care plan cost?

The care plan is a recurring monthly charge at the tier matching your build, and it starts the day the agent goes live. The first 90 days are committed; after that it runs month to month and you can cancel with 30 days notice. There is no exit fee.

It is not a support contract you hope never to use. It is monitoring, tuning, and a monthly report of what the agent answered, who it qualified, and what it booked. An agent that nobody watches drifts: your hours change, a calendar link breaks, you add a service it has never heard of, and it keeps confidently answering with last quarter's information.

What is charged on top?

Telephony minutes, phone number rental, and WhatsApp template and conversation fees are third-party costs. They are billed at cost with no margin added, and separately from the build and the care plan.

We keep them separate rather than folding an estimate into the monthly price because usage genuinely varies. A dental practice taking sixty calls a month and a multi-location operator taking six hundred should not pay the same telephony bill, and averaging them means one of them is subsidising the other.

Is it cheaper than hiring someone?

For after-hours and weekend coverage, comfortably. A receptionist who answers within a minute at 2am costs a night shift, and most businesses that need that coverage cannot justify one — so the calls simply go unanswered.

For a busy weekday desk, the honest answer is that it is not a replacement. It is the thing that catches what the desk cannot: the calls that arrive while someone is already on the phone, the ones after closing, and the ones on a Sunday. Those are usually the ones that were never counted as lost, because nobody was there to count them.
